Final Facebook Review
Instead of creating a page I made a Dixie State Women's basketball Facebook page. I did this on accident but it still was worth it.
When I first made this page I wanted to draw in other athletes at the school to support the women's basketball team. I will posted game times, activities and other community projects that we would do. One of the first things I posted was the players bios. Each players had their own post which consist of their first name, las name, year, where they are from, position, and hobby. I did this so they can get to know the players and can know a little information about them before going to a game. I also posted little video clips of some girls playing each other during post season just to change up the posting method. We would do serval community services that I had also posted about also Achievement, birthdays, and motivations quotes.
As the year went on I started to realize that the people that requested to follow the page where older folks. Parents, aunts and uncles from the players families. I was surprise to see this, there are only a few athletes from Dixie that follow the page. I didn't chose to make an advertisement because basketball season is over but next year I plan on making one for the page. Something that I would change to promote my page more is actually getting it out there and talking to athletes at the school and tell them to follow the page. Favor for a favor type of thing. Help us promote our team while we do the same for theres. I feel Dixie athletics don't come together and are separated and every team is in competition to be better then the next team, when in reality we need to support each other and be better then the next University.
There is an Instagram account that our coach is over and it has more success then the Facebook page. If I can get my coach to promote the Facebook page on there that will be perfect. Also they started that page before season even started and I just started this Facebook page during season, so that is one of the reason that our Instagram page is more successful.
Overall I feel as though I didn't do well to promote my page. My end goal was to have many athletes following the page and keeping up with us but that didn't happen. I could had made an advertisement, maybe that could had changed a few things. The page also didn't get many likes on certain post. Next year it will be a new team and I need to figure out if I should erase the old roster and just keep posting a new one? Or erase the old players and post the new ones? Im not sure exactly what I should do, I don't want to make a whole new page so if anyone has ideas please let me know. My goal will remain the same as for next year. I want the team to get more support from not only the athletes but the community. I believe that once we start to win games i can post that online and people will like the post and others will see and maybe want to follow the page. Thats one way I think I can promote the page more.

Very nice article enhanced with great ideas that can influence other athletes and peers.
