On The Media: Week One

The president of the United States claimed that his inauguration crowd stretched to the Washington monument, also saying he had no conflict with the intelligence community both where lies. Trump not only told lies about that but he even lied about the weather. Secretary Sean Spicer held a press conference talking about the media and how the administration is looked at differently by the media. He was accusing the media of challenging the president, prior to that being said he threatened the press saying "Im here to tell you that it goes two ways i'm going to make it accountable to hold the press responsible as well." Spicer also was a little whinny when speaking to the press telling them to give the president his dues and acknowledge when he does good things and just don't point out the negative things. President Trump is not the first president who has been struggling with the press for his first weeks in office. They did a content analysis of a few presidents, H.W Bush, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. None of these presidents where successful when it came to the press, television and prints such as newspapers etc. Trump is just not use to the criticism that comes with being the president of the United States, he has to learn how to brush things off and do his job in a correct manner.

  1. I can definitely agree with you that Trump struggles with the press. He is too much of a hot head and he needs to just let things go and do his job. Because he definitely is not helping him self when it comes to the media. It always seems like he is arguing with somebody who ask him a question he does not like and as the president i do not think that is the proper way to go about things.
